The Old Pueblo: Sonoran Sunrise
The last time my son and I caught a sunrise together in the Sonoran Desert was while belting down I-10 through the desert in April, 2014. This morning, the full-circle continuity was really cool.
Yesterday, we headed out at 5:30am to Red Rock, Az. since Ripley, PJ's girlfriend, signed him up for a riflery class taught by a special forces instructor. Of course I went with him! I want to spend as much time as possible together, especially his birthday day!

Today

Picacho Peak was the westernmost battle of the Civil War. Insults were hurled and someone was was accidentally shot.

On a different note, my dad sewed a patch onto his jacket when I was a kid: "Ski Picacho".

Teddy bear cholla (p: "cho yah").

Creosote

Clouds moved in around 1pm.
