Day 4: Wyoming > Sioux Falls.
We stayed the night in Grey Bull, Wyoming after a long slog through intermittent snow. Our accommodations at The Historic Grey Bull Hotel were actually a two bedroom apartment - yay! I got my own room! - with a complete kitchen and balcony with no view whatsoever on the second story. It was straight out of an old Western other than the view. One thing that struck me funny was that the mortuary was next door. How often does that come in handy?? 0.o
Leaving Yellowstone

Into Cody. It was fun to go back. I'd spent a few weeks outside of Cody when I was 20 training horses. The town itself was really built up, a lot less stereotypical Western, but still beautiful.

Western South Dakota was interesting, too. The Bad Lands area was reminiscent of Red Canyon in Utah.

We spent the night at a Super 8 motel in Sioux Falls. We tried to go to bed early but they had and cable TV....
